The Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi, organised a Spiritual Retreat (Bhakta Sammelan) in the Mission premises on Sunday, the 19th February, 2017. The topic chosen is “Satsang” or “Holy Company”. The programme began with singing of Bhajans. This was followed by a meditation session conducted by Revered Secretary Maharaj and Sri Ramakrishna Namarchana performed by Swami Amritapurnanandaji. The sacred names of Sri Thakur were spelt out by Swami Swasamvedyanandaji.
For this Bhakta Sammelan Revered Swami Raghavendranandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission, Gwalior, and Revered Swami Sarvasthanandaji, Adyaksha, Ramakrishna Ashrama, Rajkot, were specially invited to speak on the subject, “Satsang (Holy Company)”. Then there was chanting of “Bhajagovindam” by all.
After the speeches were over, the devotees attended Aratrikam in the Vivekananda Hall itself. “Khandana bhava bandhana….” was led by Swami Swasamvedyanandaji Maharaj and Aratrikam was done by Swami Amritapurnanandaji Maharaj. Aratrikam over, all the delegates were served lunch prepared in the Ashram by volunteers and staff.
This bhajan programme was followed by an interesting question-answer session in which almost all questions given in writing by some delegates were answered by Revered Swami Raghavendranandaji Maharaj, Revered Swami Sarvasthanandaji Maharaj and Revered Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj. This was followed by singing of “Ramakrishna Sharanam” in chorus by all delegates.
