A notice from Belur Math regarding Nepal Relief donations
You are aware that the destructive earthquake which stuck Nepal and some parts of India on 25 April, wrought wide devastation and caused extensive loss of life and property. In its wake, our Kathmandu and Darjeeling centres have already started relief work in Nepal.
We are receiving enquiries from many donors as to whether they can donate for Earthquake Relief work through our nearest branch centres.
Since this contribution is for work in a foreign country, regulations of the Reserve Bank, the Central Board of Direct taxes, etc. have to be complied with. We request all donors to send their donations directly to our Kathmandu centre (refer to website http://rkashramnepal.org/ ).
You may send your donation to the following Bank Account by wire transfer:
Rama Krishna Ashram Nepal (Revenue Account)
A/C No. 17725240200442
Bank Name : Nepal State Bank of India
Durbar Marg Branch, Kathmandu-1
Swift Code : NSBINPKA
Phone +977- 1 4435612
In case they are unwilling to do so, please send the donations for Earthquake relief in India and Nepal – directly to the Headquarters (http://www.belurmath.org/donation_cca/donation.php)
